For many years I never really gave going green or renewable energy a thought however, after the mortgage industry collapsed in 2008 and flood the housing market with bank-owned houses' things for my wife and I changed.

You see, my wife and I suffered a drastic loss of income due to the fact my company was in the construction industry, more specifically the new home market and when the new builders went out of business, so did my business.

My wife, a Real Estate Broker, lost a lot of business due to the flood of bank-owned houses on the market caused by the mortgage industry collapse. Now, with the new round of 2010 record foreclosures, and another flood of bank-owned houses on the market brought another slump in business for my wife.

In order to survive and hold onto the homestead, the time to conserve money becomes more important, and since our average utility bill is roughly around $500.00 + a month going green with renewable energy seemed like a great way to go to save green, if you know what I mean.

So then began the research, research to see what means and types of renewable energy were available. I was greatly surprised at what I found. I was so surprised I decided to start this website to help anyone else suffering from the economic woes, and wanting a way to save money.

I bought quite a few e-books on renewable energy and found that building and installing windmills and solar panels, was not that hard at all. In fact it was quite easy and with rebates available for switching to renewable energy sources, it was very affordable as well.

I personally implemented both, wind power and solar power, and have totally eliminated my power bill. So, going green using renewable energy was well worth it.

If you have been he hawing around, it is time to quit and take a serious look at renewable energy sources. If you are ready to start saving money by using renewable energy then check out my products page as I have spent months researching dozens of products and reviewed the best available in order to save you time.

There is of course, another sources of free energy that the government does not want you to know about, and that is a perpetual motion machine. This is basically magnetic energy, you use a car battery to set it in motion then, it will spin using magnetism until you shut it down or the bearings wear out. If you're not quite to the stage where you want to start installing windmills and solar panels, there are still some simple changes you can make starting today that will help you save money.

Here are a few easy to follow, simple to do,  suggestions:

1. Turn off lights and other electricity using appliances when not in use.  Even on standby mode TV's and DVD players use electricity.  If you aren't using them for extended periods of time unplug them.

2. Keep all filters in your furnace and air conditioners clean.  A dirty filter cuts down on efficiency dramatically which means your unit will work harder and use more electricity.

3.  Use nature as much as possible.  When it's warm and there is a nice breeze, shut off the A.C. and open your windows.  In the winter allow as much sunlight into your home as possible, but make sure to keep that sunlight out in the hot summer months.

These tips are simple, and commonsense, but they will help you with saving energy and you can start today.
